Can you delete a save file for this game?

I will be getting this game used and would like to unlock everything myself, so how can i delete a save file?

    In the game if you go to the options section there is a delete save option. You can delete specific things or everything at once.

    But that won't be necessary if you don't have a save file on your system, which, by the sounds of it, is the case.

    @Firebolt The 3DS version saves to the cartridge.

    Ok thanks. And i think all 3ds games save to cartridge, save digital games, which save to SD card.
