For the past few years, I've done the two cycle challenge in N64 Majora's Mask around every Halloween. Right now, I plan to do it next Friday and Saturday (the 20th and 21st), and I'll also go for 100% in four cycles. I'll try to mix it up a bit this time, so I welcome restrictions for the first Hylian cycle. I only ask that your suggestions would still allow beating Majora in three days.

~6:20 AM: Great Fairy Mask. 6:26: Piece in the North CT tree. 6:28: Piece from a postbox. 7:23, 7:58: Scored 49 and 50 on Town Shooting Gallery. Not too bad for not having done it in about 6 months! 9:25: H and D 1. 9:35: Piece on clock tower. 10:00: Piece from the Treasure Chest Shop with less than a second left! 10:52, 11:07, 11:31: Some field Pieces (Peahat, near Great Bay gate, Gossip Stones).

~11:40, 12:34 PM, 1:56: Entered and exited the Ocean Spider House with a Piece of Heart and... an Adult Wallet.

Hold on a moment, WHAT?! If you get the Adult Wallet from the Ocean House and then deposit 200 Rupees into the bank, you get the Giant's Wallet from the bank! I never knew that before!

~5:00: Dropped off sword. 5:40: Rock Sirloin drop on second pot. 5:55: Mountain Deed and Piece, but not the Biggest Bomb Bag. 6:28: Don Gero's Mask. 6:41: Scarecrow Piece near Snowhead. ~6:55, 10:37, 11:47: Entered Snowhead Temple, got all 15 Fairies, beat Goht. It's so fun to use the Hookshot to cheap out on the fairies in hard-to-reach chests. 12:32 PM - 1:09: Gold Dust. 1:17: Double magic.

~9:05, 3:20 AM, 4:03: Entered Great Bay Temple, had all 15 Fairies, and defense upgrade. 5:15: Beaver Race. 5:58: BARELY dropped off the sword to be forged; I was panicking the entire race when I realized my mistake! 6:00: Gilded Sword after 2 minutes of forging =P. 7:15, 8:39, 10:03: Beaver Races and Piece. 10:41: Doggy Racetrack Piece on first race. 11:35: Gyorg defeated.

12:57 PM: Fisherman's jumping game Piece. 1:05: Poe Sisters' Piece. 2:10: Ikana Castle Piece. 2:26: Ikana Scrub Piece. ~2:35, ~5:45, 8:50, 9:16, 9:22: Entered inverted Stone Tower, regular Stone Tower, all 15 Fairies, defeated Twinmold, Fairy Sword. 11:30: Secret Shrine Piece. 11:41: All-Night Mask. 11:56 - 1:27 AM: Ikana Grave 3 with bottle. So, I forgot to do Honey and Darling 3 this cycle...

I'll Owl Save right now since I have to Minus the 4 on the Moon, there are 8 Pieces left: two stories w/ All-Night, Postman 10 seconds, Deku Playground, Honey and Darling, Stock Pot Inn toilet, 5000 Rupees in bank, and Keaton.

Totally unrelated to MM, but I dug out my copy of the Zelda Collector's Edition to see if I could use the Tingle Tuner on the Wind Waker demo. It did in fact work, and it was my first time ever experiencing it! Though I really couldn't do a lot in just 20 minutes, it was a fun gimmick. I should get WW GCN someday...

With just under an hour until impact, I entered the clock tower. I beat the Odolwa, Goht, Gyorg and Twinmold trials with the respective Pieces at 8:43 PM, 8:47, 8:52, and 8:57. Fierce Deity at 8:58! Obviously, the fight was a complete joke. Now to get those last eight Pieces and one last bottle.

6:37 AM: Honey and Darling 1. ~8:50: "Carnival of Time" Piece. 9:26: Deku Playground 1. 10:49: Keaton Piece. I had to resort to the one at the Mountain Village to get this one. 7:56: Postman's Piece. The final cycle is always really dull to play through compared to the first two. 2:55 AM: Inn toilet Piece. 5:51: 5000 Rupee Piece.

Did your alterations to the run prove fulfilling? Getting to see something you haven't before in a cherished LoZ title is always worthwhile, like Zelda's alternate Turtle Rock dialogue in LttP or Sakon's conversation w/ the Curiosity Shop Owner. I'm guessing you wound up w/ more new ideas for the next annual run.

Overall, I would say yes, this was fulfilling. Generally, this was an easier two-cycle run of the game minus a few deaths, mainly since Night 1 of cycle 1 was less demanding. Next playthrough, I'll hopefully be recording video of it. Only problem is that the S-Video adapter for the capture card I want isn't on the card manufacturer's website right now.
