Shovel Knight digs into battle!

After finishing Shovel knight recently i've decided to make a moveset for the valiant knight himself.

  • U-tilt ~ an upward swing similar to Toon Link's %3 can combo at low %. And now le air game. Nair ~ same as Jab but without the followup. Fair ~ same as Ftilt but without the spark. Uair ~ an upward thrust like the Link's. %8 Dair ~ SK's signature move the shovel pogo. You can hold the button to keep the move out like with Bayo. If you hit an opponent on the ground they'll get buried -

  • - For a split second allowing for follow ups. You'll also bounce slighty upwards when you hit someone allowing for multiple uses. If you hit an opponent in the air it'll slightly spike them(about the Pit's spike power). %5 then 1% reduction each subsequent hit.

  • And now for the smash attack. Fsmash ~ a quick hitting 2 swings of the shovel (similar to the Links) that comes out fast and does great shiel dmg but has bad endlag. %6/9 Dsmash ~ digs up a large dirt chunk. This move is a projectile like Megaman's Fsmash. %6 on the dig and 7% on the dirt. It can be a potent edge guarding tool.

  • Usmash - a directly upward thrust of the shovel like Marth/Lucina's %13 this is a great k!ll move but it's hard to land as it lacks the vacuum effect that other fighters have.

  • Grabs time cause everyone loves grabs. SK's grab range is average in every spec. Pummel ~ SK smacks the opponent around with the handle of his shovel. %2 Fthrow ~ a simple shoulder push. %6 Dthrow ~ tosses them to the ground and flips them away like a dirt chunk. %6 Bthrow ~ a reverse shoulder push. %6 Uthrow ~ tosses them up and thrusts his shovel at them. %6

  • And now for the most important moves, the specials. B ~ a chargable swing of the shovel that you can slighty move while charging.(like Kirby/Dedede's) %8 at half charge and %16 at full charge. A special thing with this move is that if you land two Dairs without landing SK starts glowing and gains a full charge of this move that can used the next time you press B.

  • Side-B ~ SK will throw out one of his three ability projectiles in order. Fire wand, shoots a fast small fireball forward. %6 Slime ball, throws a slow green slime ball that bounces thrice and can bounce off walls. %4/3/2. Magic Anchor, tosses an anchor in an upward arch that has high priority and can spike. %9

  • Sounds good. Since I would like to see shovel knight and Shantae in smash. And this moveset fits him well.

    You could throw a couple references to other weapons and/or suits he wears and uses.

  • @Elucia Thanks, i try to make movesets feel as close as possible. @Zed I'm trying to though i figured the suits would be his alt colors(like MM) but i did reference his silver suit with the double bounce charge. @Shadow If only Sakurai felt the same way :/

  • [Move change] Ftilt ~ now use the dirt knuckles. SK will punch forward slighty moving him in that direction, this move can be used up to 3 times before landing and does combo into itself. %3/3/2 And back to the specials. Up-B ~ this move functions differently then how it does in game do to smash rules. When used SK will use his propeller blade to dash in a direction that you can choose -

  • - Though unlike Fox/Falco's up-B is that you can only aim in 5 directions left/top-left/up/top-right/right. It does have a hitbox but it's not that big nor powerful. %5

  • Down-B ~ this move works like Wario's bike as when you use it SK will pull out his Mobile Gear and ride around, but unlike the bike the Mobile gear itself can't be hit. When SK gets hit he'll be knocked off of it and it'll vanish, there is a small cooldown after that so be careful. Also unlike Wario's you can't use it to make crazy recovery options.%5 each hit.

  • And of corse the Final smash, Knights of no quarter! SK sounds his horn to call apon the Knights of no quarter to combine and attack his foes.(This move works like Megaman's where anyone hit in the circle of the horn will be attacked.)

  • And finally for the taunts and ect. Up-taunt ~ SK draws his shovel to the sky in victory. Side-taunt ~ SK pulls out his coin of riches and flips it. Down-taunt ~ is a special taunt as you have to be facing the edge to use it. SK pulls out his fishing rod and casts it over the edge(there is no hit box) he'll keep fishing until you move.

  • More ect, the victory animations. 1 ~ rummages through a chest and pulls out a gem. 2 ~ fishes off a pier and pulls out gems, food or a guppie. 3 ~ jumps up and catches Shield Knight. And his victory theme is a remixed version of the main theme.

  • Next up the color pallets. Default blue armor. Red-Orange Final Guard armor. Purple Conjurer's Coat armor. Silver Dynamo Mail armor. Black Mail of Momentum armor. Gold Ornate Plate armor. White&Red Armor of Chaos. Green Toad Gear Armor.

  • And lastly the assist trophy. When used Specter Knight pops out and run around targeting and slashing at foes doing 8% each hit and he'll last for 15 seconds. And that just about wraps up Shovel Knight a character i'd love to see join smash! If you have any ideas lemmie here it in well these comments.
