    That's when there's just the floating skull and the rolling ball, right? Get the skull's attention so it starts to chase, then hit it with the Boomerang. It gets dizzy for a few seconds and you can damage it with your swords/hammers. It also helps to have one player keep attacking the rolling ball just to keep it at bay!
