Online lag with Wii U Gamepad

So is gameplay on the Gamepad screen in sync with the TV? I've been using the Gamepad as the screen for a while, so others could use the TV, but lately it just feels like there's lag. It's like my opponents have seemingly instantaneous reactions to my button inputs, but it has to be more than that.

It would only be possible if there was slight lage between what's shown on the TV screen, and what's on the Gamepad screen.

    *Sorry, typo. "Lag", not "lage"

Umm...side question: For those who have the Switch versions of games like Pokken Tournament DX, or Mario Kart 8 DX, is there a similar lag online when the Switch is docked to play on the TV, vs. playing in handheld mode? I obviously don't have the Switch, so that's what I was wondering.

  • There is no lag on the Switch when playing on the TV vs. handheld. Or atleast none you can tell. (Meaning there might be its just unnoticable).

  • What you see on the TV is in sync with the gamepad.
