If you ever need inspiration for characters, I suggest to check the Pop'n Music and Puyo Puyo characters (I highly recommend the first one, they're REALLY varied). The art style is beautiful, and their story can give you ideas for your own characters. I say characters a lot :v

To give you some examples of my favourites (of Pop'n Music): Odile; a girl who dreamed of becoming a dancer. But she tried the ballet shoes of her grandmother, and now she can't stop dancing (or take them off). Cup-kun; a smiling cup of coffee. I'm not joking. Uta; lil' Suzy first "Is-not-a-phase-mom" OC done right. Simple but interesting.
