    Iwata's vision of Miiverse was for it to continue on future Nintendo devices. I guess that idea died with Iwata & Nintendo has since set Miiverse up for failure.

    It must cost them a lot to run/host and with a drop off in numbers alongside it not being used as intended sometimes I can see why it's going. They have official pages on the main social media and those ones can be linked to Switch/the mobile games so I doubt they'll create a replacement.

    Another big problem with Miiverse is that it is still using the older Nintendo Network backbone that they created instead of the newer Nintendo Account system that the Switch & My Nintendo now uses where things are linked to your account & e-mail address instead of Nintendo ID's & your system. But still that is no excuse as they can easily change that if they ported it to the Switch.

    People have done something about it though, they've moved elsewhere or created an alternative themselves. It's not like it's impossible to continue talking to the other users you've made friends with.

    But i still feel its veey hard to tsll to friends on nintendo consoles. I can't talk to any of you unless its miiverse. Social media shouldnt be the way i communicate with gamers. But i do underatand that miiverse isnt useful to Nintendo now. I just hope they fix their communication issues

    Nintendo is getting even more restrictive with their ways of users communicating software & hardware wise now because of what happened with Swapnote & Flipnote Studio 3D & it's going to hurt their hardware devices in the long run if they keep it up. I know I won't be buying a Switch until it can do more than games & I can communicate with users online on it properly.

    I also know I am not going to any "Miiverse alternative" that Nintendo doesn't officially support.. to what, communicate with even less users than is on Miiverse now & would be a hassle to share Nintendo screenshots on & that you can't draw on? I don't care who is there, I am not downgrading to stay with a click of users.

    Nintendo is officially supporting Twitter & Facebook. They are officially there themselves, I am there with millions of other users, they are more professional there, full of options, less restrictive & more grown up. Don't think for one that I will be joining the "Miiverse migration" & going to Discord. Why? To roleplay all day about Zelda? No thank you.

    The Switch can officially post screenshots on Twitter & Facebook, it can't on Discord or any other user created option on another site. If Nintendo is not there, I won't be there. Those same people going to such other places are further killing Miiverse before it ends when they could still be contributing here! Some Nintendo fans... jumping ship before the last curtain call.
