Something that always confused me about the game is the presentation of the mimesomes and concept of death. In the story, er... spoilers?, we learn humans consciousness is put in some kind of device in the White Whale and the bodies we control are robotic bodies called mims. So why in non-story missions do characters act as though death has any true weight? Always confused me.
