Question

WiiUver › 3DSver? Why?

Recently I have been seeing hundreds of posts about the WiiU version of Smash, and only a couple 3DS posts. The question is: Why? I can understand that the WiiU version advances over the 3DS version in a lot of ways, with higher resolution and extra exclusive content. But why is the 3DS version so underrated?

    The images on the Wii U version seem more modern and sharper than images on the 3DS.

    Wii U pretty much outclasses the 3DS version in every way except for portability and smash tour/smash run. Wii U version is also used way more for competitive.

    what Wally said. 3DS version was only focused upon in competitive play for a short 2 months until the wii u version came out. I don't know what stages were legal or not, but there must've been a short amount of stages and an even shorter amount of legal stages, which is bad competitively. Also smash screen, doesn't look as appealing as wii u, also probably hard to stream on for locals and such.

    You also can't load Miiverse with SSB4 suspended on a regular 3DS. This means that 3DS images can only be uploaded by the people who bought a New 3DS or New 3DS XL, which obviously limits the number of potential 3DS images.
