    Well every link and zelda is a different person from a alternate timeline the only ones that are the same is oot link and mm link also toon link is also the same as the others from the other games (PH ST and WW)

    With Breath of the Wild it's sort of a special case. Zelda seems to have been in some sort of stasis in Hyrule Castle using her power to keep Ganon at bay (it's also worth noting that she appeared to have the full Triforce). And with Link, well he was in a regenerative Sheikah device. We already know the ancient Sheikah technology can reverse aging (look at Purah), so it's not that shocking.
