    Nothing even remotely of that nature? I heard that they may bring in some functionality with existing social media like Facebook and Twitter. I mean, I highly doubt there will be no way to meet other players, or communicate with them outside of online games.

    You can post your photos on facebook and twitter. But as far as communicating. Nope. Maybe through the phone app with multiplayer games. I don't have splatoon so I can't verify that one.

    It took 5 years after NSider ended to get Miiverse. I think it will take at least 2 years before we get the next major thing that everyone can get in on (Flipnotes doesn't count, that was niche)
