ok so here are my thoughts...botw was a great starting point for future Zeldas ..but as far as replay value... I cant see playing botw through more than maybe once more and when the new zelda comes out ill probably never play botw again. yes it has many hours of gameplay but Im betting once"botw2"comes out the older zeldas will still get played more than botw does.

  • When I play an older Zelda game and finish it, it'll take months or even a year before I touch them again. With BOTW it's the opposite. I've beaten it on Wii U, then I'm playing it on Switch. I'm still getting as much enjoyment as I did when I played it on Wii U. So many things to discover.

  • yeah ive seen some people on my switch friends list play for 1000 hrs ..its great that people love exploring that much but idk i dont see much reward in it in botw other than finding it like the seeds or the armor it doesnt really change much. id love to be able to play as the other champions with their powers like Majoras mask that would change alot just a fun replay

  • i thought about replaying it with the least amount of resources as possible for a challenge

I think BoTW is pretty snazzy with it's new features (and still amusing). One thing worth attempting is to play the game differently. Try to push your abilities to the limit, rather than going through the motions. I suggest not attempting 100%, it'll give the game more replay value. It makes the world itself feel like a giant dungeon with all the different options. But, do what you do.

  • I've beaten both normally and on Master Mode, but I think it's best to take a break from it for a while. Some time later I'm going to play it again with one less Divine Beast, then again and again lowering the number each time.

I seldom replay games esoecially zelda. I clear them 100% then move on to a new game. I only replay games if they were really good after many years when most of my memory of the game is faded out. Its about time i replay Twilight Princess and maybe Majora Mask. Not Ocarina of Time tho the game remains fresh in my head it feels like i beat it not long ago when i havn't played it in like half a

I still haven't played the DLC, I play in bursts. One day I'll consider a 100%

  • I agree. I'm not ready to let go of the old formula. In botw you spend hours and hours and hours exploring, gathering, an crafting, which is great, but I still need a more streamlined experience where I get that out of the way more quickly and I spend most of the time on games and puzzles, the fun stuff. I think it might be the crafting (cooking) that makes me not want to replay it as much.
