(Left Me) I think, in terms of sales for a rivaled game company, it can shorten another system's era span. Them adult DUDES wanna by them multiple 100$ DLC for their XBOX ONE 2k sports games, and 50$ for some silly DLC map or something. WiiU only had affordable gadgets like amiibios. XboxOne's for them sports and HD graphic dudes, WiiU's for gamers, and PS4 Pro's for, us, niche JRPG fiends.
