    The point is, if Miiverse goes down they may never see the friends they made here again since we can't share personal info. There's no guarantee those people will sign up for whatever comes after, and even then they may not have the same username.

    For example, say I wanted to share my instagram username so I could keep in touch with someone. The comment with that info would be taken down. They've essentially ensured friendships made here can't blossom anywhere else so of course people are going to want to save this. They could always add Switch compatibility to Miiverse and add new functions.
