  • King Zora makes a comment about it having gills, but it's also a popular metaphor for being sick. I'm more inclined to believe a fish though.

  • Well I assume the one in OoA is the same species, and he's called a fish by the Maku Tree. "That's weird! An essence is echoing from inside a fish." -Maku Tree, OoA Then again, calling Jabu-Jabu a fish in front of King Zora upsets him, although that might just be because it's not very respectful.
