  • ratmice, there was a article on ign that explains why Miiverse is being canned by Nintendo. It boils down to Miiverse doesn't make Nintendo any money, in fact it costs them money to keep the servers up and to monitor(admin) the forum. On the switch they have partnered with Twitter and Facebook and people can post their screen shots from games on social media, advertising for Nintendo.

  • And though I don't agree with it, in the end Nintendo is a business about making money.

  • The WiiU didn't sell well and a lot of the big games are from third parties, is not nintendo's fault at all, they just didn't want to take a risk making versions of their games for wiiu since most people won't buy them. They didn't even buy games like bayo2, wonderful101, star fox zero, etc

  • IT IS NINTENDO FAULT. DENIAL LIES EXCUSE IS NINTENDO BIGGEST PROBLEM.

Still with this. Just sell your wiiu man. You'll be happier.

  • Nintendo is cheap. Yes they are a company that needs to make money but they don't see the advantages of spending extra money to give users what they want. If they are a good enough of a business they would figure out a way to make money or recoup their investment back. I would pay for Miiverse, I would even accept ads appearing somewhere on Miiverse. This is a foreign idea to Nintendo it seems!

  • Same goes for their hardware.. they are cheap to add in extra stuff that people want instead of putting out features such as rehashing motion controls in new expensive controllers that no one was asking for. Nintendo downgraded the Wii U's graphics chip before launch to save $25 per system. Imagine what a difference that could have meant for games & sales!

  • I spent an extra $50 on the Wii U to get the digital deluxe edition, I would have spent the extra $25 for the better graphics chip & scrap the digital deluxe program which I got nothing back from! Nintendo can be on par with Microsoft & Sony but they choose not to anymore!

  • there was nothing wrong with wii u pro controller. $70.00 for switch pro verses 49.00 dollar
