nintendo corp claims there not making any money of mii verse lets say from the very beginning of mii verse let say $30.000.000 people are using mii verse lets say nintendo corp charges $59.99 for a entire year just like xbox live. $30.000.000*$59.99=1.799.000.000 this how much money nintendo would be making every year .now add new features to mii verse. again why is mii verse closing.

    take ps4 right now in order to fully utilize ps4 you need to be online let say there are 60 million ps4 users multiply that by$59.99 for a entire year psn $359.949.000 000 that how much sony is making of psn. you multiply the userbase by the subscription price you got your answer.

    As a free service, Miiverse topped out at 26 million, compare that to Live's pay service with a user base of 55 million, and PS Online with 70 million active users/110 mill total users. Miiverse just had a horrible attach rate, it was great while it lasted but nobody (myself include) would pay for the service.

    I previously typed in a separate post as to why MiiVerse is ending. It's actually kinda simple. Its kinda open knowledge that Nintendo no longer wants a "closed off" social media site. Basically, if people are going to talk about their games aconsoles, they don't want it confined to miiverse. They want it all over Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Now, I don't agree with it, as I love MiiVerse

    @ratmice - Nintendo is cheap & they think their userbase is too as they don't want to charge extra fees (too much now) to use their devices or software. Their stance on that has been slowly changing over the past few years but they were late to the game for paid for DLC & they are late to the game for paid for online services. It's because of their business philosophy!

    @iBry - I would pay for Miiverse especially if it were ported to the Switch & included in with the Switch paid for online services! But noooo, Nintendo doesn't see it as an asset to help attract people to pay for their online services. As for Miiverse being a closed system.. that's what makes it so good as it is totally centered on the games & the users that play them!

    That is just an excuse that being a closed system doesn't benefit Nintendo.. they don't realize how dispised sharing too much gaming stuff on Facebook is & how lost amongst everything on Twitter individual user Nintendo stuff gets! I run my own Club on the Xbox One where I approve members, we can post messages, text chat, post pictures & video clips, share achievements...

    ...see who is broadcasting games & watch them, create an event for everyone to see to play a game & sign up for it, private message members and choose to invite members to a group voice chat if we want, all on the Xbox One & all included with our paid subscriptions. Who needs Twitter & Facebook to do stuff like that OFF console? Defeats the purpose but we can still share stuff there too if wanted!
