    10: metroid zero mission (2005) why: I love the retro visuals/soundtrack and I also love the metroidvaina that originated in the metroid series score: 9.5/10

    8: fire emblem: the sacred stones (GBA, 2003?) why: I honestly think 9 and 10 are better games but 8 is newer to me and is more addicting than 9 and 10. I tried so hard to put this at 10 but I just couldn't. still, this game boasts fun, and strategic turn-based combat alongside the threat (and potential depression) of permadeath. score: 9.5/10

    7: spaltoon 2 (switch, 2017) why: this colorful TPS is not only my 7th favorite nintendo game but it is also probably the most cultured game of all time. score: 9.75/10

    pokemon x/y!!! (3ds, 2013) why: the grandaddy of all turn-based RPG's and overall one of the best games of all time, pokemon x/y is a truly unfotgetable experience. score: 10/10 (duh)
