    Well it actually regular normal color but it changes color when you going to beat the bad guy . It changes color. It hard to explain it . lol actually it hard for me to explain it :)

    well when i fight it usually i go and get a few potions and fairys, also getting the Bronze or Golden Master Sword i really helpful but i wouldn't worry about that, you can also try shooting arrows or your Hookshot at it that usually works,and you know be quick, don't run directly at the boss, and have a good amount of heart containers! ^ω^
