Why do some SML critics believe that SML should listen to the small minority of people instead of the majority of the people who watch it? Isn't not doing that Fandom 101?

Maybe because the people who watch it are already satisfied with it, so listening to the minority allows them to adjust it, getting them more audience.

They're saying that SML should take out a character the majority of people like and that he should make less videos (thus giving him less money). Now I'm not the biggest SML fan, but knowing how Youtube and fanbases work, that's not the best idea.
