    I don't know if I agree wih you there. 2D Sonic has almost always been good, even on handhelds, it's just most of the 3D games that are mediocre/outright bad(which are, unfortunately, Sega's main focus right now). Spin-offs of Sonic are a different beast all together; I don't know about the quality of most of them.

    But... Sonic Generations. Sonic 1-3. Sonic Colors. SONIC MANIA. I'm sorry, but I don't think I can ever believe that. I've had too much fun with these games. Way more than I ever had in a main series Mario game.
