    Abuse the Monado-Arts. A tip for starters: Start the Match with Speed and try to do some combos with your throws(mostly down-throw) and aerials(back-air is REALLY GOOD), once it's effect has gone off, switch to buster to rack up more damage and then switch to Smash or Jump. That's pretty much the most basic basics you need to know. Oh and try practising to select the Monado-Arts really quick.

    Don’t use backslash until the perfect moment strikes. Also, Monado Arts Speed and Buster are what you’re gonna want to use often before switching to Monado Art Smash. You can use Jump and Shield, but I would recommend using those for only recovery and defense.
