So Miiverse is almost gone...it's sad that Nintendo doesn't understand that there are some people who don't own a switch.

  • Can't keep supporting a dead console forever. It's what happens when they move on to the next console or portable.

  • i don't have a swich!

  • I can't afford the games. Not really worth it in the end.

  • I like Nintendo and all, but I'm getting ticked off with the switch. It's the main reason Miiverse is closing. And also if Nintendo put more third party games on Wii U and had better marketing for Wii U, then it would still be on sale today and there would be no such thing as a Switch.

  • @pzh123 - And the Switch doesn't even have a social media platform. I don't have a Switch either & it will take a lot of improvements on it for me to get one! @Lex - Microsoft.. still supporting their full online service since 2005 on soon to be 3 console generations & even bringing back games from the original Xbox as well soon too. Nintendo just doesn't know how to handle online!

  • @George, you know this is how Nintendo operates ever since the nes to snes days. Out with the old in with the new.

  • @Lex - I know, it's the old way of doing things which will eventually catch up to them! Commodore was the same way with their computers & look where it got them. I am tired of things getting shut off and any company like Apple or Microsoft that keeps things going for multiple generations get my respect! I am still playing my favorite game online on the Xbox 360/One after 10+ years!

  • But look to the bright side! Their probably just replacing Miiverse with a better social media platform that will also be on the Switch!

    Yeahs0
  • Sorry to say this but... the switch have nothing to do with miiverse closing, it takes a lot to manage a social media, and nintendo can't really do much about things like fake reports or cyber bulling (for the lack of a better word) so they are opting for the solution everyone else is using... twitter, just like the ps4 the switch let's you post on it, so whatever player post is twitter work now.

  • @the x king - The most Nintendo & DeNA will do is improve/add to their smartphone app. I don't think Nintendo will try something like Miiverse again if they are giving up on it now. Meanwhile Sony & Microsoft took the idea & ran with it! @Kouichi - The Switch has been contributing to the demise of Miiverse as it is not on the Switch so as more people get the Switch the less they are on Miiverse!
