Navi Theory: Okay, here's a crazy theory I have about Navi. Her existence is the reason for the timeline split. In the Downfall Timeline, Link didn't have Navi's help and so he died against Ganon. In the Child Timeline, Ganandorf tried to keep Navi out of the fight, probably as a subconscious attempt to keep destiny on track (the destiny where he wins the fight). But when he's Ganon, he can't hold

  • that Zelda's will forged into a fairy form by the Great Deku Tree. So in addition to Link and Zelda's prophetic dreams, they also get Navi.

    Yeahs0
  • why he would die against gonodorf in a fight? if he dies in the game why would they called zelda ocarina of time if Link dies on a fight isn't it wired for you or what?

    Yeahs0
  • Another possibility: Zelda actually travels back in time with her wish and is reincarnated as Navi.

    Yeahs1
  • For clarity, I'm saying Navi doesn't exist in the Downfall Timeline.

    Yeahs1
  • wait if she becomes navi on ocarina of time there you see zelda as a child so zelda is navi and navi is zelda is that what your trying to tell everyone

    Yeahs0
  • @Skyward I don't know the reason, but Hyrule Hystoria says it is so, therefore it is canon. The Zelda Timeline branches into three timelines like so: First, the Downfall Timeline, where Link is killed in the final battle of Ocarina of Time. Next, the Adult Timeline where Link is victorious, but is sent away to live his lost years. Third, the Child Timeline where Link, as a child, flees Hyrule with

  • No, Skyward. There are multiple Zeldas in canon. I'm saying Navi is Zelda from Zelda II: Link's Adventure, or an incarnation of her will.

  • ohh i went confused!

    Yeahs0
  • And now I guess I should take a quick look through Hyrule Historia to see if it invalidates Navi not existing in the Downfall Timeline...

    Yeahs1
  • its very interesting!

    Yeahs1
  • Evidence for this theory: Imagine playing Ocarina of Time without Z-Targeting. We'd all end up in the Downfall Timeline, too!

    Yeahs1
  • wow without z-targeting makes bosses a lot harder in the game as well!

    Yeahs1
  • As for Hyrule Historia, the Downfall segment doesn't mention Navi. The events of Ocarina of Time described do and most people would interpret that part as being the same in all timelines (whereas I view the Downfall Timeline's Ocarina of Time as probably being different in many ways). But I think it's significant that Navi's fate isn't mentioned in the Downfall Timeline. Why? Because I'm

  • doing a selective reading and placing undue importance on things to support the possibility of my theory. Duh.

    Yeahs1
  • nice that's a very good information about the timeline! you can search the timelines google right? because i don't live in the united states i live in another country so i have a american console. but i never seen a library on where i live

    Yeahs1
  • Yes, you should be able to find information about the timeline online.

    Yeahs1
  • wow ok! those timelines interest me a lot because it got very cool information on it and stuff about the game you don't know! but why on zelda majora's mask 3d they been saying that navi dies in majora's? like what actually happens to her in the game? to introduse another fary named tales and her brother?

    Yeahs1
  • @Skyward At the end of Ocarina of Time, Navi flies away without saying a single word, so nobody knows what happened to her. In Majora's Mask, it is heavily implied that Link is looking for her. Since nobody knows where Navi went, many people like to theorize about it, including a theory where Navi died. This is based on the fact that life fairies circle Link three times then disappear.

    Yeahs1
  • yeah i heard that from google one page of the zelda ocarina time said that but i don't know the website i searched but i saw that word a cople of times!

    Yeahs0
