I am personally opposed to the idea of Nintendo ending support for the DS/3DS line and moving focus entirely to the Switch line. Aside from not seeing any real reason to not work with what I've got, a lot of features that I have found memorable and innovative – such as StreetPass, the Pedometer, the Dual Screens, Play Coins, free online play, and others – will be all but lost.

  • (Also the 3DS has the ability to take pictures and video, which I find practical.) For now, I see no real reason to move on to the Switch. A few new additions and changes to something that appears to be a portable Wii U successor isn't enough to interest me, especially since the Switch's OS is incredibly lackluster.

  • (Although that may be largely due to my dislike of the Windows 8 style, the 2010s look, the "flat style", or any other classification for it.)

  • I noticed you deleted my comment, but I'm fine with that, because I'm polite, so can you kindly tell me why you deleted it, not to be mean of course.

  • If the Switch later ends up appealing to me, then I might get it. If it doesn't and the DS/3DS line becomes unsupported, then I might just calls it quits on video games, because who wants to play a game that doesn't interest you? For me, making videos is basically the equivalent of playing video games now.

  • Sorry about that. I was saying what Suess said. Since I have a Switch, I think it's a great system, but I can see where you're coming from, as I like making art, I was kind of disappointed that no art games may be coming to the Switch.

  • @Rush Of course, I myself may be somewhat biased because I've gotten used to the 3DS family (I've owned my original 3DS since 4/29/2012, and my "New" 3DS since 2/27/2015), and it was the first ever Nintendo system I had owned (although I had played the Nintendo 64, GBA, and original Nintendo DS at someone else's earlier). But, things may change in the future. I'll just wait for now.
