    There are 9 books in the Star Wars series. The first 6 movies are based off those books. Force Awakens doesn't follow the 7th book and for that matter is a remake of number 4. And Disney said that 7-9 are no longer cannon which many Star Wars fanatics such as myself agree that Disney is wrong in saying that. Even George Lucas came out and said that selling Lucas Arts ro Disney was his biggest

    mistake and that he regretted it as soon as Force Awakens was announced. Not to mention that 4-6 were going to be remade to be more like the prequels but Lucas never got around to doing so. I wish he had cause they would have been so much better.
