Hello all. Just a quick question. Is it possible to make up another account on the Wii U with a new mii, then play 'breath of the wild' and start from the beginning and still have game saved from the previous mii and previous account? Just wondering if this is possible?

Yes. In fact, that's what I do for multiple playthroughs.

  • Oh ok. So i won't lose any gameplay at all if i was to go ahead with this?

Not at all. Once you make a new account, you'll just start fresh from the beginning. If you have DLC, it does carry over.

Yes. You'll have everything as it was. The saves won't interfere between accounts. That I can promise. Have fun!

  • Ok, thanks. Thank for infos. Much appreciated.

  • I have 8 different accounts on my Wii U for my family and friends, each have their own seperate save data for Zelda BOTW. But you should be aware that SOME games use only one "Shared Save" between all users, You can check which games by looking at your game saves in the data management section of the system settings.

  • Oh ok, thanks for that JamieBrock.

  • I just checked the Data Management in my System Settings, and yeah only some of my games have a 'shared save' data. Don't know why though.

    Yeahs1
  • I think the shared data on Mario Kart is just for Time Trials. Each user will still have to complete everything else from scratch to unlock all the goodies.

  • JamieBrock, so you're saying that no matter what game it is, you still have to start from the beginning.

  • On Mario Kart yes.
