Always take measures to mitigate damage. Attack power is fine, but it becomes useless if you have a party of glass cannons. Thankfully, Lin learns Shield Wall around the time she reaches lv.15. She just got it on my new file and, as soon as she did, I immediately raised it to lv.3. Elma learns and Early Bird and Ghost Factory relatively early, too. Add both to her arts pallet and level them up.

*continued Another way to offset damage in the early going is by equipping armor with attribute resistance traits. You can also do it without going bankrupting yourself, by farming for it. However, it requires patience and luck of the draw. This piece will be going to Elma.

Lastly, don't forget about support skills and soul voices. Always be sure to set them early, to better your chances. Lin gains the Shield Screen support skill at lv.16. I also select soul voices that remove debuffs, increase the effectiveness of healing arts, and ones that either call for debuffs, or improves them by 1 tier.
