    You don't really need to start with a certain one. If you really care about it having some sort of order you can always look at the official timline, but honestly just pick any and go from there. A lot of Zelda fans have started from games like Ocarina of Time or A Link To the Past. I'm playing through Minish Cap right now, and finished Wind Waker a while back. Google different ones and see which-

    1. The first game is the Legend of Zelda for the NES. 2. The Zelda games are about this hero named Link who is trying to rescue the Princess Zelda from the evil Ganon/Ganondorf who is also trying to get these golden pieces created by the Gods that can unite something called the Triforce which can grant a person's wish if they unite them all together. 3. You can play the games in any order.

    also, does anyone know any good games on the 3DS that are action or adventure related, that are also based around the age of 10-11yrs?

    Ocarina of Time 3D and Majora's Mask 3D are great Zelda games they are a great place to start in the series. If your looking for any adventure games on the 3DS I would highly recommend picking those up.
