can someone please explain to me why everyone keeps saying miverse is ending i havent been on it in like half a year

    Nobody knows why, but nintendo is shutting down miiverse on 11/01/17 at 10:00 a.m [I think] pacific time. There's going to be a single nintendo consle or device that has miiverse on it and it's rly sad :¯(

    Nintendo announced on Aug. 29th that Miiverse will be ending on Nov. 7th at 10:00pm PST. See the "Miiverse Service Ending Announcement" on the top of the Communities section of Miiverse.

    that is just sad i dont know why nintendo is doing this but you no its nintendo they like to get rid of things like miis they got rid of it on the switch i mean you can still make them but you cant do anything with them

    There are a lot of places "better" than Miiverse but people don't have to put it down just because they decided to go elsewhere before it ended. And no, there is absolutely no other place like Miiverse with how greatly it is incorporated into games & the consoles/devices allowing sharing of screenshots & drawing as well as text as standard all in the one go.

    And this is coming from someone that runs his own Club on the Xbox One! Even Twitter is only limited to 144 character posts which they might be increasing to 288 as compared to the 400 here on Miiverse. Just because I am somewhere else doesn't mean I am going to put down Miiverse after all these years. I will defend it until the end! It is one of the greatest things Nintendo has done!

    @Harley Q - Nintendo is closing Miiverse as it's useage has gone down since people have gotten the Switch & using their Wii U/3DS less or even selling them off. They see people using other social media sites more so they are closing Miiverse to save money & repurpose the servers it is running on for something else.

    Places won't disappear within 2 weeks! I am sure if people want to go elsewhere afterwards they will be able to still go there & find out how! I did a search off Miiverse recently & found more places I haven't even seen being talked about within Miiverse as Miiverse is so big. There are 7+ places out there besides any official site Nintendo is still on so any "migration" is not just one place!
