To the ZNG who have been busy editing the Wiki with all the page saving lately, I have something to say in the comments below.

  • I've noticed that there are a bunch of random and assorted posts of mine slated to be converted to a PDF. A lot. The only things of mine I'm concerned woth saving are my few drawings (already saved to my devices), my logs (of which there are few, and of those few there are a good number I don't care about), and my whole "Fun Fact" series (which I can take care of via simple copy paste of the

  • Text itself). So guys, those of you that have been picking out a good deal of my posts, please don't worry about that. You're already busy enough getting other people's stuff to the Wiki. I had initially planned on helping with this whole thing, but as I was taking a look at what was involved I quickly figured that I am totally inept with all of this stuff. All of it flew over my head. I'm not a

  • Tech guy at all. So, I think that if I were actually trying to help at this point, I'd end up actually creating more work for you guys trying to patch up my sloppy attempt. I don't have a computer anyway. At all. Can't do the stuff you guys can. Can't get stuff to convert into PDFs, or even view them for that matter. It brings up a printing application with a very tiny image of whatever the saved

  • Is. Essential useless in my hands. To sum up, I'll try one or two things, but I'd rather stay out of the way of the ones who know what they're doing on a wiki.

My bad. I was kind of scrambling to get posts from some people, since no one seems interested in listing any posts to be archived themselves, so I added some of yours. And you can’t view PDFs. That’s startling to me, you can view Miiverse, but not PDFs... Thanks for communicating about this, though, it makes it easier to work on this knowing what you guys think. And I’m really sorry…

…that the explanations are confusing. I really need to work on that, since wikis don’t need to be as hard to use as they look, honestly.

As for not being techy, though, that doesn’t mean you have to stay out of our way; suggestions and feedback like this right now are actually really useful. If you have an idea for a change on the wiki, please don’t hesitate to share it with Christian, me, or anyone else you see editing there.

  • Oh it's fine, I just meant why prioritize posts of someone who isn't even helping. Not your fault at all. I'm just in a bery awkward position to be doing anything. It's not an explanation of yours, just explanations of this subject in general. I'll get his whole thing figured out eventually. I'd like to, I'm not just saying that. I'll try to find what I can do for now.

It’s heartening to hear that. But I’m still going to try as best I can to be more clear going forward.

  • Thanks Ray for all the work you're doing with the wiki!
