    Look, I get what you're saying. Sometimes we feel down and we think that nothing matters. I've been down that road numerous times. I feel sad and alone on a few occasions. But if you're telling me this 'woe is me' and 'nothing I do matters' mentality is better than 'despite all the hardships, I'll still persevere,' I'm sorry but I can't take you seriously.

    I am an adult, though I am very aware that I sound as if I am a brooding teenager (my brother is older.) My self-centered and stubborn attitude have earned me many detractors, and much derision over the years (all well earned.) I do not speak to others about myself, so this is a platform of sorts to speak my mind, it would seem.

    I am aware there are others that have a far greater reason to feel lonely, lost, marginalized, or alienated than I. To them, I wish the best, and that they find whatever it is that they are looking for. As of this moment my logic is in command, however, when my emotion seizes the reigns, the mood can grow quite dire indeed. I find emotions to be a truly terrible force in my own life.

    Just try not to focus on the negatives all the time. I know it's difficult to do, trust me on it, but not everything is doom and gloom. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm sorry about what I said about you wanting attention, I just feel nobody should ever have to deal with never ending turmoil.

    This is one of the very few places I speak about myself or to others. I am an adult as well. I believe I may have been acting the same way, I just haven't been aware of it. I believe things can get better for you, however, 'It's Dangerous to Go Alone.' Talking with someone, anyone, may help in the smallest way, but it's a start nontheless.

    You haven't pestered or offended anyone. You keep apologizing, but all you did was ask a truthful question, and reply with honest answers. Many of us have been feeling or felt the same way. My younger brother also felt that way. I believe that even though we may not see it yet, there is a brighter future where we don't as feel lonely or lost. I hope that you find all that you're seeking as well.

    You're welcome, and thank you. He is doing well, he had moved out without a word or goodbye and thought that would alleviate all of his emotions. Now he is having second thoughts. We used to be the best of friends. I wish he would come home, but he is of the age where he can and will decide on his own what to do. I would love to pray for you and your brother as well.
