DS charger problem...

the charger i got with my 2ds was destroyed by a cat. i got another charger later that day, and it's been fine up until now... a the part of the cord closest to my ds will make the ds stop charging if bent a certain way.

    however, if i hold the ds the way i normally would, it's fine. but i'm kinda getting mad that it has to be held perfectly or it will stop charging. do you know what to do?

    My brothers charger is brokenish, lol, it flashes on and off, but still works. Tape is recommended. That cat is probably very self-satisfied..
