    {Cutter's Corner #383} ….I should have put some cool dramatic quote in all that black space. Oh well. My friend let me and my brother borrow his Metal Gear Solid HD collection like...a year ago, and I finally got around to playing it. I kind of forgot about it until he brought over The Twin Snakes on Gamecube, which has two discs.

    I got through the first disc and was all GEARED up to for a SOLID finally on the second disc....and then it didn't work! Even after trying it in the Wii, and using a disc repair kit!...so I moved onto MGS2, finished that, then my friend bought another copy of Twin Snakes so I could finish it...Twin Snakes is like a remake of the first MGS.

    The games are really quite good, the controls are a bit clunky, but successfully sneaking around an area can feel really rewarding, and there's lots of cool boss fights. The story is kind of crazy and convoluted, but also believable. If you like story driven games then you should really check out the series, cuz there's a lot of it! The games are almost like movies at times instead.

    Now after playing some of the games, I really want Snake back in Smash Bros. He seems like just a classic gritty tough guy soldier dude, but he's actually kind of silly and goofy at times. The games also have a sort of Nintendo feel to them with unique gameplay, characters with strange super abilities, and lots of little hidden secrets.

    The only thing is, Snake in Smash should really have a tranquilizer gun. That's pretty much what you use the whole game. Neutral B of grenades? Nah, I'm sneaking, I barely used those things!

    I have twin snakes too, It's really good, I like the setting a lot too, it was great seeing it in smash bros. I haven't played the other sequels, except the gameboy color one. There's also the bok-tai series on gba.
