I figured I'd create this thread for first timers, while there was still time: Anyhoo, once you have your skell license and buy your first couple of lv.30s, you'll notice their gear is pretty shoddy (especially their armor). So you'll probably be tempted to run to the shop to outfit them properly, but there's a much better way to do it and it won't cost a dime (continued below).

Here's another sample shot. However, it only drops armor for medium skell frames (i.e. the Lailah and the Inferno). If you want light skell armor, you'll need to farm Qmoveas. Or if you need heavy skell armor, you can get it by fighting Fal-Swo and Xe-dom.

Next, you'll want weapons. There's a Ganglion base in the SE quadrant, directly adjacent to FN 511. The Marnucks drop B-Gatlings and B2-Gatlings. And you can get various F-Waves from the Zigs. Recommended if you want a healer a healer on your skell team.

The base is heavily fortified with mechanoid enemies, so definitely craft Mechanoid Slayer XX augments your party before going, if you haven't already. The Knight Puges are the ones you'll want to target, as they're the ones that drop the following skell weapons: name attribute type Phoenix thermal (AoE) G-Buster gravity G2-Buster gravity (AoE)

@Paul: I've heard about the lv.30 discbomb and I've seen other people with it, but I've never been able to get one at that level. And I tried farming for it for days. I might try again to see if I can finally get one this time.

@Tabs: That's the one, but he never drops it for me. On my other file, I have 84% Treasure Sensor, which lets get even reflect augments easily. But when it comes to getting the lv.30 discbomb, it's been no dice.

It's super rare especially with the Mag trait. You have to break the appendages of this Qmoeva to get it. As you can see on the reward screen, it came from the treasure boxes rewarded from breaking appendages. I got it with 100% TS.

@UT Master: The Hexad eats up 4 weapon slots, eats up a ton of fuel per shot, and has a linear attack. You'd be better off with the Antimatter-R. It only takes both back slots and it has massive AoE (look at the blast radius it has):

Time attack missions are another way to arm your team for free, as certain ones can reward you with unique skell weapons. You can get a Daghan's version of the Heat Edge as a reward item from "Beauty and the Beast," which becomes available after clearing chapter 8.

It's a lv.30 sidearm that comes with three battle traits and a free weapon slot. It's also good to have if your skell uses an all thermal build.

And, here, you can see the HOMURA. It comes with three battle traits, which is good for a lv.30 skell weapon. They're upgradeable, and, as an added bonus, two of its weapon slots are already open.
