    Ugh, my Dad is STILL singing that song Elzo. Indiana Jones is great, of course the original Star Wars trilogy, and growing up I've seen the Home Alone films too many times. Just about hate 'em now...

    It's a great song! Ha, I totally get what you mean about your dad, though. Mine's the same with a ton of things. Indy is great, never been a Star Wars fan (in spite of being friends with people who know so much more about it than the usual fans), and I've never seen a Home Alone movie all the way through. Couldn't tell them apart if you asked.

    @Claire - Yes, they were supposed to remake Gremlins with it being a more darker version but I haven't hear anything about it in years. Maybe after the travesty that the Poltergeist remake turned out to be, maybe they got turned off from doing it!

    Hi Britt! It sounds like you and I had the same childhood. My list is largely the same! The most memorable movie from my childhood is The Neverending Story. I still watch it once a year, every year. I would add to your list: An American Tail Rainbow Brite (don't judge me xD) The Rescuers Down Under If I think of anymore I will stop back by.

    @Britt: I'd like to see that car too in real. I also remembered some other movies that made an impact even earlier: Ghostbusters, Honey I shrank the kids, Turtles I (the only Turtles Movie I approve of). I always was interested in the Neverending story, but sadly never saw it :)))

    Honey I shrank the kids was really funny. You should definitely watch The neverending story! I really want to see the second one again, been so long, don't really remember it since it's rarely broadcasted. Should search for a DVD maybe...

    Lady and the Tramp! That definitely should have been included on the list that I provided. "Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer" was a movie that came out in the 80's. It was a movie that you would expect to be lame/low-budget, but they had some excellent people working on the project. I saw it in theaters when I was 5 (and I never got to go to the theater) and it made a big impression on me.

    I love the original Ghostbusters as well. Another good animated movie from Don Bluth was The Secret Of Nimh.. I loved seeing that in theatres when I was young! I liked The Never Ending Story as well but also never seen the second one.
