I've been playing Fire Emblem Warriors lately. So a quick comparison to Hyrule Warriors: - It's more team based now. Missions aren't for exclusively 1 warrior and it's ineffective to try because there's a "weapon rock paper scissors" so a sword would be poor against spears for instance. - You no longer seem to have to train EVERY warrior, just have the odd warrior per weapon type covered.

    - Only 1 giant boss. - Fully voice acted. - There’s an affinity system between warriors. Maxing 2 warriors to A+ gets a special scene between them and gives them access to each other’s skills. - Story is a bit shorter, there’s only a 2-way split.

    - DLC situation is far better. We already know the exact dates for each pack and they are in much quicker succession. (The latest one is March 2018 so only a 5 month DLC period.) - The developers mentioned a possible sequel. (So why did Hyrule Warriors only get an updated version of the same game?) - Still special/focus spirit gauges but they changed the names to warrior/awakening.

    - More characters. There are already 25 with 9 more coming in the DLC packs. - Most units aren’t unique any more. They’re divided into types and those in the same type are clones of each other.

    I never played Fire Emblem before, I only had Smash Bros knowledge of it. I also never cared for Dynasty Warriors, only Hyrule Warriors. I've been enjoying this more than I thought I would. It's very character driven so enjoyment will depend on how you fare with the characters but as far as gameplay goes, if you enjoyed Hyrule Warriors you'll be fine with this, and it improves on some things.

    So is misquoting. I said the DLC "situation" is better, and it is. Significantly better. This has no bearing on whether the content will be any good though the entire roster has already been leaked.

    HW is DOA. I don´t even consider any longer buying the New3DS-version. It´s just too bad. Sorry, but i don´t buy crappy overhyped games from masses xD

    Good to know King, thx. Not sure I'll get it since I still have a lot of work in HWL. And I bought another warriors game afterwards (mostly for Japanese practice later on) on wii, which is fun, but I prefer the known characters from the Zelda series.

    I forgot to mention units can pair up. This lets them do dual specials, you can toggle between them at will and get them to support you regularly. One good use of this mechanic is pairing with someone who can compensate your weaknesses.
