(Left Casara Geareder) Casuals make gaming companies richer. Mario, Zelda, and Call of Duty are still around for a reason while Star Ocean and Tales of series turned into lost causes. (Right Me) It's the character everyone want to use that make folks buy those games. My niche JRPGs are impossible for casuals and would sell'em due to a normal boss them not farming for 5 hours. Not 30 minutes.
