I always farm a pair of Dryad IIIs and Watxs for Elma, as preparation for chapters 9, 11, and 12. Both came with Potential VI as a battle trait, which have both been upgraded to X. She also has Potential X as a trait on her Yii. And my entire party is armed with Humanoid and Mechanoid Slayer XX augments. Elma has a Nullify Gravity Reflect XX on her Dryads. Ga Jiarg doesn't stand a chance.
