So, why the long loading time Nintendo?

Riddle me this, Nintendo (or anyone willing to step up to the challenge of answering this): Why does this game take so long to load? Because personally, I don't see any combination of dropper assets, miiverse posts, collection variables or any of the files and code of this game, that warrant up to ONE HOUR loading times.

  • I tried researching this a while ago (so my info may be wrong). Apparently, your 3DS downloads new badges like an update, check if you have completed them, remove yesterdays sets and randomizing the daily practise. But from what I gathered not even those that check the coding understand why that takes so long. It is ridiculous though :/

  • Also, because every set changes daily now it takes more than twice as long as it used to.

  • Yeah, but the sets aren't even being loaded from the internet, they are just on the console!

  • The reason it takes up so much space is that all the badges are downloaded on first load. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that Nintendo updated it to just run off of a 3ds itself, without requiring a constant internet connection. So it's not a internet holdup or a pressured server, but that only leaves the data loading and it should not be taking that long to load
