Is it weird how Mario Odyssey reminds me a lot of Kirby? Like If Kirby was played like Mario, Odyssey would be the game considering what crappy can do?

I will! *Shouts* Hey, Nintendo! Miitomo was atrocious at best! Come at me! I guess that would be true; it could've totally been a Kirby game. However it's almost like they totally did away with the power up items and consolidated it all within one hat. Maybe that's their story and they're sticking to it, here.

It didn't look like a traditional Mario game to me. Even when Mario escaped from 2D levels, his power-ups were still the same. Sometimes Mario gets gadgets, but he always can grab a fire-flower.

Mmm, well I feel like Mario games stopped looking traditional (excluding the sports games) starting maybe from Galaxy? But then again, I never saw what Super Mario RPG looked like and I guess paper never looked traditional so I really don’t know what to say. I guess SMO (Odyssey) is just 3D platformer in the way I feel like I thought (along w/ galaxy) Little Big planet was supposed be-

but I had the wrong impression. From the gameplay I’ve seen of it so far, Mario seems to be more expressive than before. I guess Grimm is right, in this case the “Kirby” like power-ups are held specifically towards the hat except Kirby just does it in one way, while Mario (with Cappy’s help) actually takes over their mind as a separate entity without consent. He himself doesn’t seem particular-

ly happy to do so though. I guess both Kirby and Cappy are kinda scary that way x’D except I still like Kirby a lot, but just imagine being any enemy to either of them, with Kirby, you could be minding your own business and suddenly it gets really windy, you lose your footing and disappear into space (I guess with Yoshi too…) and with Cappy, you could be traveling and all of a sudden you’re not

even conscious anymore to know what you’re doing (or are you?) Mario and Cappy is just kinda like “Sorry, I need to use you for a bit. Sorry if you wake up with a bunch of scratches, though!” //Note the confused T-Rex when Mario returns back to normal// I guess this is more serious than what I wanted to talk about, huh xD ! @Papa Grizz It’s definetly not traditional, but I think that’s the

point, except I’d say that Mario/Rabbids game is the least traditional of all to be honest. Rabbids were like the first “Minions” for me. I didn’t really want a Mario game with them. @Grimm Woah I just realized both of you have “Gri” names that end with a “same double letter combo”! This has made my day~ Anyway! Miitomo is that thing on My Nintendo, right? It’s just a mii-like profile,

right? From my understanding, just like Tomodachi Life, you don’t really do anything, but with Miitomo, you do even less. It didn’t look like any fun to my, but some of my friends who don’t play Nintendo have it.

@Caleb Yeah. Mario’s kind of mobile in the same way; free to roam around instead of walking just left and right.

(Haha, "crappy") Hm...I guess it makes sense since it's a similar concept of getting possession of other's abilities, though you completely become the enemy with Cappy, and Kirby takes their traits. Dang...I want to play the game so flipping bad...

@Mika Ehhh... Well grasshopper, there are so many lores and theories out there that are pretty grim (heh) than the idea of losing one self for a moment... or being assimilated. Like, for example, the blocks the Mario Bros. step and break are supposed to be citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom who were transformed by Koopa. And this is canon from the SMB1 manual!

If Mario actually expresses something different outside of "keep moving forward" or "lotsa spaghetti" then that's a step forward into his character development. But other than that, I see the game trying to he more like Super Mario 64 than the Galaxy titles...which also kinda tried to be 64- but you know what I mean. It's more of a collector's paradise with the stars- I mean moons you can get.

And the coins seem to be used for its intentional purpose as currency now. Seems alright to me. Plus it looks like Mario will be in Brooklyn (old Mario show ref) so that's cool... And Miitomo is the poor man's Tomodachi. I highly suggest looking up "If Miitomo had Lyrics" on YouTube. However, there were some gems on that app. Gems surrounded by TRASH, but gems. Come at me, Nintendo!

@Danny (I didn’t mean that though ;; > v > ) I wish you luck with the gameplay, I didn’t realize that it just came out yesterday. From the gameplay I’ve seen of it, it seems really easy to miss items in each given area.

But that’s exactly what I meant; “possession of enemy’s traits. @Grimm I see that name pun! *intense pointage* That’s actually really depressing though. I’m still wondering how peach became a princess. On Yoshi’s Island, she’s practically born with a tiara which makes me wonder if she came from somewhere else before becoming “Princess Toadstool”. His expressions actually make me think of
