    I never had my own copy of it, but the guys across the hall from me in my freshman dorm in college had it, and I remember it was funny watching them play it sometimes while hanging out...

    That is one of the few games I have 100% completed. I love it. It's only flaw is perhaps "unoriginality," which is to say that all four NSMB games are more or less the same. But if you haven't played any of them yet, it's a great game...

    The DS version was my very first game. I wanted to play this one since it was announced. The 3DS one was pretty bad, though.

    It's the best 2D Mario I've played, that's for sure. New Super Mario Bros. (DS) and NSMB2 weren't as fun for me because they didn't emphasize multiplayer like Wii did.

    DS was first though, right? To bring Mario closer to it's roots, I think. I did always want a multiplayer aspect like the Wii, but the minigame were pretty great, as was the versus.

    That was NSMB's saving grace, my sister and I enjoyed both of those modes, and mostly the VS.
