Am I the only person ever who's kinda disappointed that you can't tame wolves in Breath of the Wild? I mean, the only wolf you can actually recruit is an amiibo-exclusive, so why not make regular wolves tamable (Is that even a word?) just to be fair to those who can't afford the Wolf Link amiibo, just like how you can tame horses even without owning the Epona-spawning amiibo.
