Please help me!

When I flick/press the analog stick down on my GamePad, the console hardly doesn't recognize the input at all and when I flick/press it up, it recognize the input as if I would be holding the stick upwards. For example: When I'm on Miiverse and press the stick down, pretty much nothing happens, but when I press it upwards it'll scroll like crazy. What do I do to solve this problem?

  • Try scrapping the bottom of the control stick because there might be dust crammed in there. or try vigorously shaking the stick with the palm of your hand

  • The thing is that as I'm 15 years old and my parents are divorced, meaning I live at two places, have to bring the Wii U with me each week to be able to play Smash. And since I don't have a TV on neither of the two places, I play Smash using the GamePad...

  • ...so if the GamePad breaks means that I have to spend hundreds of dollars on two TVs, new controller, as well as a USB port (if I choose to use a GameCube controller) and I have by no means that kind of money. I love Smash, but I won't spend all my savings, which I'm by the way saving to buy a computer, to be able to play it only once in a while (since I have to do other stuff with my free time)

  • Fantastic. Now it's the opposite: It hardly recognizes when I press it upwards and scroll like crazy when I press it down

  • Thats an odd thing to happen. You could always use a Wiimote and Nunchuck to play Smash.

  • @Prsboys ye but then I have to play on the TV and as said, I don't own 2 TVs, I mean obviously our family has a TV but I really hate to play there and I can't play at all time since they use it as well

  • Trust me when my Pro Controller broke it took time to learn the controls a new but it wasn't to difficult.

  • I would assume the best solution is to remove the battery for 20 seconds. Then put it back in and MAKE SURE the sticks are in neutral position when you turn it on and re-sync the gamepad.

  • There are hard shell gamer suitcases with a self contained HD display that you can strap the console into. They are made for people who travel alot. You plug it in when you arrive at your location, flip it open and play.

  • You can use a wiimote, pro pad, GC pad and only use the tablet gamepad as a portable screen.
