It's unlikely IMO. As far as that timeline's history is concerned he was just a guy who Ganon crushed when he tried to oppose him. Granted he did save some people, but it was likely overshadowed in the minds of the people when Ganon obtained the full Triforce. To them it's not a story about a boy who challenged a great evil, it's a story about how a great evil rose to power.

Link still brought back the seven sages, which while in it's own is a feat they also played a massive role in sealing Ganondorf away, which could be something. Even after getting defeated Links actions still helped 'save the day'. Yellow is a colour that can symbolize things like Hope, Happiness, sunshine, etc, doesn't that seem like something a Hero would bring in a grim time?

Hero of Time didn't have a yellow band on his hat, and he probably did go down in legend like in the other branches of the Timeline. It wasn't till the Legendary Hero came along was Ganon finally destroyed

Not to mention the fact that Link and Zelda's actions were the reason Ganon rose to power in the first place. In the Adult timeline Link redeemed himself by beating Ganon, but in the downfall timeline he was killed before he could set things right. If anything OoT Link would likely be remembered as someone who inadvertently created a great evil and was then destroyed by that evil.

So sadly OoT Link would be a cautionary tale if he's remembered, future heroes likely wouldn't see him as a role model but an example of good intentions causing terrible suffering.

I wasn't referring to the Hero of time having one at all what so ever. So I don't know where that came from. A solid two people know what happened there, maybe three, and one is dead (Link.) do how would anyone know that? I doubt Zelda would make that public knowledge after all. Link didn't create anything, Ganondorf simply invades Hyrule if they don't do 'that' plan. (As we see in TP.)

And a reminder: That whole plan was Zelda's. Link is a kid, from a forest, who doesn't even know he's a Hylian. 'He' got pulled into Zelda's scheme. Zelda is the one who set everything in motion, she even does the same thing in the adult timeline by sending Link back in time, leaving no Hero to fight Ganondorf 'and' ruining Links life in a way.

But he did create suffering, just because something similar would have happened eventually if he chose not to pull out the Master Sword doesn't mean he didn't cause suffering if he does. And yes it was Zelda's plan, but Link went along with it and it never could have been accomplished without Link so some of the blame is his as well.

Ganondorf himself attributes him entering the Sacred Realm to Link's actions. "As I thought, you held the keys to the Door of Time! You have led me to the gates of the Sacred Realm... Yes, I owe it all to you, kid!"

And your right that not many people know about that and Zelda might not have a reason to pass down knowledge of it (other than being honest), but the same goes for the story of OoT Link in general. It's not a significant event in the downfall timeline's history other than being the era where Ganon rose to power.
