Super mario odyssey: The dangers of hype

Super mario odyssey is a game I was extremely looking forward to however now that the game is out and have played it I realized I put my expectations way to high. I honestly got way to hyped for this game and at one point I expected it to be one of my favorite games of all time. Now I realized that hype can cause huge disappointment. (Continued in comments)

    Now I dont hate super mario odyssey but I dont think its great either. I honestly wish I wasn't hyped for this game because when I played legend of zelda breath of the wild and arms I beforehand didn't care about either games but when the final trailer for breath of the wild came out I became a little optimistic and with the arms global testpunch I was shocked by how fun it was.     Now im gonna talk a little bit about what I dont like about super mario odyssey. The boss fights honestly suck and the final boss (not counting the last part because thats not a bossfight) was just lazy. the art style feels all over the place. The kingdoms sizes are very inconsistent. the 100% completion reward sucks. And the open world structure doesn't work with mario.
