Zelda tips?

I want to be able to call myself a random main but as long as I practise my Zelda never really improves. If anyone has any tips, combos, strings, neutral game, etc can you let me know. Also hoping Nix finds this XD Thanks :D

Focus primarily on Landing a grab. She also relies heavily on Defensive tactics like Power Shield for example. You can use her recovery as a mixup to get on Stage or a suprise attack or after a tech situation. Since she can be slow a times you need a lot of momentum & keeping control over your opponent is key. Whiffing Pivot Grab can be a good way to keep opponents away.

Also, being a Glass Cannon her main objective is to deal as much damage to the opponent, & scoring early kills with Fair / Bair / & UpB through Sets Ups & Mixups that lead into big damage

Whoo that's a lot thanks :) So her sair has a 1 frame sweetspot right? I guess that would be a good punish and finisher? And for grab combos, down throw to nair is true at low percent? Does down throw combo to up air? And side B and down B are near useless?

down throw into neutral air, Back air and forward air have strong sweetspots, down b has a small windbox that carrys into the slash so edge guard with it. dont use dins fire. down tilt into f tilt, the sky is the limit and she is alot better than people say, she is built to play at her own pace, tech chasing and catching people while slowing down the speed of your matchup.

to answer your two ?s, d throw to u air isn't great unless you can time a fast fall into it because the air dodge happens if you jump , but you can't get it off with a shorthop.

and side b is predictable and just bad, almost every situation makes it difficult to kill with, if someone is playing range and the waiting game neutral b is more effective + in the air it removes all your jumps and recovery, side b is good for edgeguarding at high %s
