Nintendo...Why would you release an "Explorer's Edition" of Breath of the Wild eight months after many of us have already bought it, and only for one console? That's not fair!

I feel the same about mariokart 8 deluxe and pokken tournament deluxe. I get that you have to have exclusives and everything, but they just remade games people already spent their money on! And dont even get me started about splatoon 2...

@Cormac Woah leave Spla2n out of that its a sequel not a remake or a remaster. I don't buy remakes or remasters and the only one of these games i own is Spla2n

I want it, but I feel there is no point since I already beat Breath of the Wild (Wii U version), but don't have Switch.

All it is is a Zelda game that comes with a 100 page Exploreres Guide and a 2 sided map so idk why anyone would be upset. I for one am not interested in it the slightest and Zelda is my top gaming franchise next to Sonic. I don't do guides of any sort in no games so its pretty much for folks who are getting there switch late and don't own Zelda for Wii U. I wonder how many foljs still fall in that

To make it worse, the Explorers Bundle is the SAME EXACT PRICE as the original game!! First with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and now this- why do you do this to us, Nintendo?!

All of these new ports and deluxe and remastered versions of games for the Switch, and what do Wii U owners get? A death stroke to Miiverse and a bunch of advertisements!

I know, right? I mean, I'm not upset enough to start a riot in the street or anything, but it would've been nice if they had managed to release this a little earlier, and for the Wii U. I could've bought the entire thing for the exact same price.

I agree. And I guess Nintendo's decisions are for the best, even though it is a bit frustrating. They are a business trying to make money, after all.

It actually makes sense in a way. It's holiday season, and children (like me) are begging for a Switch and Breath of the Wild. Instead of spending an arm and a leg, why not get a bundle for the exact same price with extra things?

That was a bit of an overreaction I had, too- sorry. Keeping Miiverse active would be impractical for Nintendo, and those advertisements are necessary to thrive as a business. And they are doing a good job advertising the Switch. It looks pretty fun :P

It is simply to reinvigorate sales either to new people who haven't bought it yet or for collectors to buy & add to their collection. I'd buy it even if I already own the original on the Wii U but my priorities are with other games coming up right now!

If you own BOTW in any way, shape, form, or fashion then thats all that matters. The only BOTW news i care about is the 2nd DLC Pack. Still waiting for info about it rather than them going on and on again about the amiibo's

This is nothing new honestly. Its just money grab tactics that EVERY game company does They did the same with mk8 for the switch. hwl for 3ds, and the monster hunter games gets this treatment a lot as well.

That and also cuz not everybody gets a chance to get games at launch so they sometimes release it later with extras.
