Who cares if it's not even December yet?! Since Miiverse is shutting down before December, I thought I'd draw a very special holiday picture for you all! I hope this year will be the best Christmas that Link and Zelda will ever celebrate! Before I go, I would like to share a story.

Let me take you back to the year 2005, when I was in 2nd grade. Back then, I was a really naughty boy. I got into fights with some of my classmates. I often got scolded by my teachers. I didn't listen to my parents. Well, you get the idea. I got in a lot of trouble.

Ah, I see. But I wasn't finished yet.

It was about a month before Christmas when I got into yet another fight with a classmate. I don't remember exactly what happened but I was in serious doo-doo. I lost a lot of my privileges - both at home and at school. I seriously began to freak out when I was told that I was going to get a lump of coal if I continued to misbehave.

If memory serves, all I wanted for Christmas that year, besides some Tigger toy (how embarrassing!), was a Star Wars Ultimate Lightsaber kit and a Transformers Cybertron Starscream figure. This was the year that I first got into Star Wars. Because I had been so naughty, I was certain I wouldn't get anything but coal. The song "I'm Gettin' Nuttin' for Christmas" intensified my fears even more.

Anxious, I did my best to be good, but only for the sake of getting presents. Bad Tanner. That Christmas, I DID end up getting the lightsaber and Tigger, but I didn't get Starscream. Whatevah. But besides the empty plate where the milk and cookies once sat was a note from Santa. And the message he wrote to me is a message that will never leave my heart.

"Dear Tanner, You've been a good boy this year. You've worked hard to be good, so I know you deserve the toys you received. But remember, you shouldn't try be good just today. You should try to be good EVERY DAY! Keep up the good work and I'll see you next year. Merry Christmas! Love, Santa. P.S. The milk and cookies were delicious. And I saw your electric train underneath your tree."

At that time, I cared about nothing but toys. But as the years went by, I began to realize that Santa was right. The only reason I acted good was for presents. But it was Santa who taught me one of the most valuable lessons in life. You should do good for others not because you are expecting a reward. You should do good for others because it's the right thing to do.

This Christmas, it is my hope that you too can do good for others not just on Christmas byt every day. If somebody trips and falls, help them up again. If a friend of yours is feeling down, think about what you can do to cheer them up. These situations and more are just some of the things you can do. Even if it's a little out of your way, just one good deed can really make a difference.

Well, that's my story. Whatever it is your doing this year, I wish you the best holiday season and best wishes of happiness and safety for many years to come. From me, Tanner, to you and yours. Believe me, fellow Miiversians, you WILL go far! ALRIGHT! WHO'S PLAYING WITH THE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS?! OH, HYLIA! ONE OF THEM BROKE! LIIIIINKLE...
