on christmas day 2012 at precisely 22:09 i posted Merry Christmas to miiverse in the nintendo land community and didnt think to much of it, 5 years later im still here loving it. ive loved reading all your thoughts about games and more and meeting like minded individuals who love to play games. the beauty of miiverse to me was in censorship, it made people more articulate/thoughtful.

    Agreed, the family-friendly rules often allowed and encouraged thoughtful behavior, and allowed me to fully enjoy the last five years. There is another option, by the way. Do a search for Miiverse haven. Keeps the same family-friendly nature of MV, and the folks already there seem very kind. And if you like what you see, be sure to invite friends you want to keep in touch with too.
